Infections and interiority - a study of space and human behavior in the age of COVID-19
FALL 2020, Prof. Ronn Daniel
Student: Erin Shaughnessy

Project Parameters: Study the human body and interactions as line, form
& presence (physically & mentally) in slices.  Values of black, white, and gray only.
The three "film strips" or "slices" above are studies of interactions between individual and interior during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.Illustrations created by collaging images from the 1919 flu pandemic with sketches done in india ink and technical pen.
The two images above illustrate how people move through a quick service food market; the first shows a more technical approach, the second an abstraction.  The second image is a tessellation of 20 multiplied studies of pathways forged by three individuals as outlined by dashed, white, and black lines, with a gray poche. Created with Adobe Illustrator.
